Chapter 2 _________________________________________________

The Lords Battle

Growing up, life was very difficult due to and at times overwhelming. My family was dysfunctional but nonetheless the Lord lovingly and gently began to draw me near and allowed me to hunger and thirst for His righteousness. I was desperate for change. Therefore, in the mist of continual storms and difficult circumstances He gave me this encouraging dream. I was seventeen.

It was evening and the sun began to set. Two companions and I set out on a journey. We walked side by side on a narrow dirt road which ran through the high mountains. The road looked like an old abandon rail road track with its steel rails missing. The ground consisted of clean fertile finely raked brownish red dirt. (Similar to the mountains and rich soil found in Lake Tahoe California)

As we continued to walk up the large mountain, I looked ahead to see more large mountains in the far distance that were snow capped. The narrow road was elevated with ten foot ditches that ran along both sides of the road in a very thick forest within the deep mountains. There were a hundred foot high green pine trees on both sides of the road as far as the eye could see.

As my two companions and I walked side by side it was understood that we were in strict training or preparing for a battle. Our order of formation was to my right a brother in Christ, to my left a strong invisible male presence, and I was in-the-middle. As we walked, we were quoting scripture and our voices rang out simultaneously with boldness and confidences as if the words were sharpening our spiritual swords. These were the scriptures we quoted in a loud voice:

Psalms 23:4, “Though, I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and staff they comforts me.”

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power , of love and self disciple.” as well as "No weapon formed against us will prosper."

These words empowered our faith resulting in our walk becoming a strong courageous march.

Again, I looked up the road in the far distance however this time I saw a small ball of fire. It was traveling down the same road and In the midst was a human likeness of a man walking in the flames. He looked like a silhouette or a black shadow. We continued to march fearlessly towards the fiery flame.

Our shoulder’s boldly pressed back while our chest’s boldly stretched forward. We were prepare to fight for the battle of our life. All along we continued to speak God’s word in a loud courageous voice. These were the words we repeated again and again! No weapon form against us shall prosper and God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind.

It was night and the enemy was now upon us. As we began to engage forward into battle. I felt a hand behind me gently but firmly touch my right shoulder. Not knowing who It was yet someone began to move me towards the left side of the road. It motioned me to sit down then immediately it took my place in formation, as I looked up to see who it was. I saw a row of angels ready for battle.

I was surprised and could not believe in my wildest dreams that angels had come to my rescue much less ready for a fight. I could see there shoulders press back and their chest stretched forward. White brilliant light glowed from there presences as they stood about 10 feet tall. I tried looking at their faces but I could only see their side profile beneath their chin and part of their strong jaw line. Because I was sitting down yet looking up from a lower angle position. At once the angels charged into battle with the ball of fire. There was a struggle and they wrestling back and forth. Then I woke up. I believe this dream means:

In life we are on a spiritual quest, the mountains are continual obstacles, daily trails and hardship which we must overcome. The green trees are people who are indifferent and lacked compassion. The ditches on both sides of the road represent false doctrine and spiritual blindness which we can easily fall into if we are not careful. The long narrow dirt road represents our life time here on earth.

During our journey we will have trails, be ridiculed and rejected, We will fall into ditches due to blindness. We will be attack by demons and satanic influences. However, remember the battle is not of flesh and blood but dark powers and principalities in high places.

In addition, remember to hold fast to His word (memorize) and pray continually in the spirit. Eph 6:13 We are not alone on this journey. My two companions represent the Holy Spirit to my left and my brother represents the church to my right. The Lord will send and discharge His warring angels to fight our battles. The road was lonely but you could see all around God’s beauty and glory through the mountains, and trees.

You do not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you.
2 Chron. 20:17

All the trees (people) of the field (world) will know that I the Lord bring down the tall tree (prideful people) and make the low tree (humble person) grow tall. I dry up the green tree (carnal person) and make the dry tree (repented person) flourish. Ezekiel 17:24

"See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. Ex 23: 20
