It's good to start a day with some humor
so to help you on your way
Though it be raining, clouds above hanging
find something good, in that day to say

So be the case when I woke up one morning
outside it was dark and dreary
And without thinking, these words came out
life can be a trip" but, don't you worry

And like some trips, a tour guide can be helpful
when you'll traveling to places unknown
I'd preserve more gas, and even move the stress
when your out there all alone

What about the stops that you have to make
those signs you never seen before
And just like our days, when things just happen
and haven't yet gotten out the door

One from another will spin it's way
and park right in your lane
And as you set in awe, and a little bit stun
was it's motive to drive you insane

No need of a list for it made it's own
for it came from out of nowhere
But, you found a way to accept the tour
realizing life, it never plays fair

You may had written a schedule to make it easy
but you were blown off course
So it doesn't always pay to think you know the way
for if you do, then drops in remorse

So at the days end, I picked up another lesson
and that is, to ask for, more light
From the Lord who's willing to lead and direct
so to help make my days go right
