Discover You


You look, but you don’t see
You ask, but you don’t hear
You want to find that one special thing
But it doesn’t seem to be anywhere

You go through life, hoping that something exciting is right around the corner
You don’t realize its right beneath your nose

Why is it that our eyes our blinded when we see ourselves
But see so clear when looking at someone else
When we look in the mirror we never see what’s really there
All we see is an average face, with some hair

The mirror can only show what’s on the outside
And we mess up that image enough
But it doesn’t show what’s beneath the skin
And honey that’s where the real adventure begins

So quit trying to climb Mount Everest
When you won’t even climb inside your heart
You want to find what you love
Look in there it’s a great place to start

There is so much to discover and learn in this world
Those things can wait, they aren’t going anywhere fast
And to tell you the truth, that stuff won’t matter
If you discover a new diet that makes you look slim
Well hey, that’s great
But if you discover who you are and look within
That’s even better than making a new home gym.

So go climb those mountains
Follow your dreams
Remember not everything is what it seems
Don’t be afraid to live your life
Keep pushing on when it’s filled with strife

But out of all these things there is something you must do
Find yourself and discover you.
