He gave up his heavenly crown for a crown of thorns,
and gave up his throne for a cross.
Jesus blood was shed because he loved us
no matter what the cost.

Crucifed! with the thieves,it is finished was his cry,
Our sin was upon his shoulders the day that Jesus died.
they laid him in the tomb that dark and mournful night,
they rolled the stone against it and made sure it was tight.

He is risen,it was the third day,
the grave could not hold him, he's no longer where he lay.
He descended into hell to battle with the foe,
there he took the keys of death his authority to show.

No longer are we captive for Jesus set us free,
He died on the cross and rose again for you and me.
Death where is thy sting, where is thy victory,
for our God and saviour did a miracle you see.

Jesus is the resurrection and the life ever after,
He ascended into heaven now Lord and master.
He sent his Holy Spirit to take his place on earth,
We are his diciples we must follow him for all we're worth.

GLORIOUS glorious Lord Heavens high command,
seated by the Father with a scepter in his hand.
No one ranks above him everything beneath
he's the Captain of the Hosts the one everyone should meet.

Now for us he left a command,
to take the gospel to everyone in the land.
Halleluah Halleluah Jesus is alive,
And every eye shall she him coming from the skies.

So sing a song of praise and adoration to the king,
Lift up holy hands and your sacrifices bring.
Bow before the throne and give Jesus his rightful place.
Messiah anointed one,
will come for every race.
