“What Is Your Passion?”


Passion is described in the dictionary as a strong enthusiasm or desire. Passion is what drives us to reach higher goals. It links us to commitment. As children of God, our passion should be to see souls get saved. That is the main purpose for why we are saved. Our business is the Kingdom of God business. We live in a lost society where God `s people have a responsibility to encourage, strengthen and evangelize the world, through Christ Jesus. So what is your passion? Is it to get souls saved? Or is it to get a higher degree for your job. Maybe your only concern is to get married and get a big house. We fail to realize that our plans as Christians must link up to God `s plans. What are you going to say when you go before God and he asks you what did you do with Jesus? God called us out of darkness into his marvelous light so we could be a witness to his saving grace.

We should have the same passion that Jesus has about lost souls. Our Lord is so passionate that he gave us his life. Nowhere on earth will you find passion like that. We must have a thirst and hunger about the things of God. So are you serious about God? Do you have a heart for those who have never heard the Gospel to receive it? Obviously, there is a need out there. People are tired of living an empty and meaningless life. They need the Gospel. Even though we are covered with the blood our love ones may not be.

It is imperative that we become passionate about the needs of the world and the work of God. Our focus should be his focus. What are you focused on? Whether we know it or not, we all have a call on our lives to share the gospel with as many people as possible. So what is your passion? Amen.
