Memory Of The Past

I watched as he gave his daddy a good night kiss
He raised his eager little face to him
A face that was a light with love
As my son gathered him in his arms
The son God gave to me
I thanked the Lord
That my son was a good man
And all I hoped him to be
As the little arms crept around his neck
A reflection of the past came to mind
Turning back the hands of time
When my sons little arms
Went around his daddys neck
I heard again those simple words
"I love you daddy"
