Experience they say, is the best teacher!
This, as we walk on life’s path of destiny we shall discover that it is so true.
It is amazing to know that as the years pass by and we go over our individual lessons learned, we begin to appreciate and feel some sympathy for others whom we might have, in the past, accused, reprimanded or condemned for what we regarded on their part as weakness, addictions and descriptive easy-prey-mentality who falls into TEMPTATIONS.
It is so easy to stand and judge!
An unmarried person often finds it difficult to understand why married couples can not SOLVE CONFLICTS NOR iron out their differences PEACEFULLY and why they should even get to that point in the first place!
He does not see the larger picture of minute details of two totally different individuals with contrasting backgrounds, mind set and habits who eventually battle up to the point of situations of IRRECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES.
"Why cant people simply stop and learn from their past mistakes and experiences", it is stupidity and a weakling's attitude!
"Sexual addictions of various types, repetitive and uncontrolled aggression,anger and wrath, bouts of envy and jealousy, increased depressive feelings and continuous lack of confidence and insecurity CAN be handled as simply as switching a light switch, on and off!"
The one who does not have a sweet tooth does not understand and out rightly condemns someone who has obvious problems with health from what he/she eats and can not simply stop consuming ‘like a glutton’, fatty foods, chocolates and other sugar–based sweets.
“I hate cigarettes and those who smoke because they do not care about how they endanger the health of those who VALUE their health those who do not touch the ‘devil’s stick’.
Who discovered this substance called nicotine? It is also killing our earth! “.
This I heard someone who was rattling on in complaint some time ago, wondering why someone CANNOT SIMPLY quite such a ‘stinking’ and endangering habit!
This put my mind in a spiral of thoughts….funny, we are quick to condemn, judge and sentence!
We all struggle daily with something that has become habitual (Of course, negative) which we know is not doing us or anyone else any good and we need to STOP before it gets out of hand or causes destruction (in some cases, a spiral effect and a chain of destruction)
Temptation is often what we can not fight in our own power and intellect because oftentimes we war against what we DO NOT UNDERSTAND and MOST LIKELY UNDERESTIMATE; we NEED the intervention of God and His COMFORTER whom Jesus promised thousands of years ago to send in His place to help and always intercede for us.
Matthew 6:13 (NKJV)
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
Mark 14:38 (NKJV)
38 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Matthew 26:41 (NKJV)
41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
James 4:7 ((NKJV)
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Ephesians 6:10-18 (NKJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints
SURRENDER YOUR LIFE TO JESUS AND HAND ALL THAT CONCERNS YOU OVER TO HIM!
