The clock strikes three
The shadow of darkness covers me
Drifting away in a distant memory
One that is ornament of ivory
Hidden deep down the deep blue sea

It was in the middle of May
The night before you secretly pray
That we could have our summer getaway
Sneaking out of your bedroom window was your forte
In my ears the soft whisper you lay
That you don¡¯t care what your daddy says
You told me to take you far away
In our imaginary Porsche

On the way we talk and laugh
We created a land of fictional stuff
Even the trees who heard attempted to give us a realistic cuff
I love the way we swim across the lake in the buff
Don¡¯t you know your lips are God¡¯s greatest craft
Being with you every day is never enough

Watching the sunset with you is my best movie
The birds flew above us back to their families
The wind blew us a gentle breeze
How I wish that time would freeze
Perfect was made for you and me

You love the way I call you dear
The words I utter in your ear
The waves echo your joyful cheer
Our footprints on the sand tell us we would always be together
Through the heat in summer and the cold in winter
I will still be by your side every single year

The stars gave us the envious jeer
But that doesn¡¯t stop us from dancing under nature¡¯s crescent chandelier
Fireflies lighted the night sky with a merry atmosphere
The crickets and cicadas sounded very clear
Listen to nature¡¯s rhythm and follow my steer
Let me lead you into our future

You don¡¯t have to fear
For I will always be near
Let me wipe away your tears
No one will hurt you as long as I am here

Lay your head on my chest
Tonight you will finally get to rest
Trust in me and I shall do my best
If I go down on one knee please do say yes

Tomorrow will still be bliss
I will send you home with a goodbye kiss
Every moment together I shall miss
Look me in the eye and tell me this

I love you
Because I really do
