Faith

Fortitude can be simply defined as the staying power, stamina or strength, courage or boldness, faith or determination an individual needs to battle his way to success. It has been said that success favors the bold and I say victory is a heritage for men of war. Show me men who have conquered and I will show you who the real fighters are.
David the psalmist asks God to train his fingers for battle and his hands for war. He understands there is no warrior minus war, no victory minus struggle, and no over comer minus obstacle.
Fortitude or the fighting power underscores the fact that victory is worn and not born, and success is not served to us on a silver platter except that we hunt for it. Nobody was born victorious but we can all choose to leave this world as heroes. Men who never let mediocrity to prevail but with all dexterity fight for the change they yearn for and better chances for the future generations.
Boldness coupled with courage is known to be the first born among all virtues and I also think it is the prime quality of leadership. A leader should be a man of sober judgment, clear conscience and sense of vision direction and determination.
One has to be with tough skin of a rhino, wits of a fox, boldness of a lion to make it to the top neglecting the vertigos experienced at the top of the ladder that stills the sense of self worthy and confidence.
