How do you act when you're given hate for all the love you've shown?
Is it dark as the sky that's over you with clouds so overgrown?
Do you pray for your mocker with compassion for his ignorance?
Would you give just to him even in that instance?

How does it feel to have your life draining from yourself?
How sad is it when you can't even be your help?
What do you feel when you're punished for something you didn't do,
   when you've been kind and all they say is that they want to kill you?

Would you be silent in the time when you're being abused,
   when bystanders stand and laugh and you're the joke that's used?
Would you hold back curses though you'd be right to speak them?
Would you die for those you love even in their depth of sin?

Would you give in, even to death, when all you want is life?
Would you give to last breath, however dire the sacrifice?
Are you so strong to stand against the cutting of Satan's knife?
If you are then I must bow since you are Jesus Christ.

Preparing for the coming Good Friday (April 22) and the following Resurrection Day.
 
"For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life." - Romans 5:6-10
