God answers prayers! However, one of the many things I’ve learned in my Christian walk is that God’s answer is not always “yes”. Sometimes it is yes now, yes with changes, yes but later, or just simply no. So when you don’t see things happening, don’t think God didn’t hear you or is ignoring you. He already answered!

There are things I’ve prayed for and didn’t get or I got long after to the point I had forgotten all about it. Or I got it after I changed/grew in an area or stopped/started doing certain things. And you know what? I’m okay with that because I know God loves me and only wants the best for me. In the same way, my son has asked for stuff and there are times we’ve said yes. Other times we’ve said no because as parents, we didn’t think it was the best thing for him or the right time or that he was ready or he needed to learn a lesson. So why would we think that God would treat us differently to how we treat our children who we love and only want the best for? God is our Father!

So when you don’t get what you want, when you want or how you want, try your best not to feel hurt, upset, angry, depressed, disappointed, discouraged or hopeless. And if you feel this way, please don’t allow it to linger. Trust in God, trust in His love for you and trust that He knows what’s best for you.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” Romans 9:27 (NLT)
