Wisdom: Children of Light and Children of the World.

Oh! You Child of light,
Your wisdom is quite different,
From the child of this world;
Yet, as the Lord said, “be wise as serpents”.

The children of the world may outsmart.
Remember you are not of the world.
Continue as one set apart.
Though, you are in the world.

Do not struggle to beat the worldly wise,
To his earthly, sensual wisdom;
But with the Holy Spirit arise!
Let your light shine to possess true riches.

The Lord says, “Be gentle as doves”.
Worldly wisdom derives from selfishness and greed.
But Godly wisdom derives from righteousness and love.
In the end you would win indeed.

Worldly wisdom cannot make you wiser,
Than the one who relishes in it;
God’s ways and wisdom remain mightier.
You would soon realize if you persist.
