Grandmother cares for us. Our needs are met.
She tucks us into bed with a song.
Peace and quiet fill the night;
Love permeates our lives.
She guides her young charges along a pathway to manhood.
Though we may stray and falter along the way,
We know she is there to protect and love.
Her strength and resolve – they shelter us.
The pancake griddle is always hot; comfort food for trying times.
She washes our hair, brushes our teeth.
Abundant love.
Her strength and beauty fill our hearts the rest of our days.
Demonstrating the love of God, forever.

Closing Prayer:

Shepherd of my Soul: You fulfill my every desire. I can lay in the comfort of my bed each evening knowing that you will refresh me and smooth out the difficulties I face. As I make my way through my days, I know that you are there helping me to make the right choices. I do not have to worry or fear for the future because you are with me. Your blessings and your love fill my life in so many ways that I have no choice but to share them with everyone I meet. I grow in wonderment and amazement of your greatness. I pray that I always live in your love so that I can truly become the disciple you are calling me to become. All this I pray through your Son and my Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
