That Kind of Love

She was at the table, sitting next to him.
He wasn’t able, So she wiped off his chin.
Their pledge of Love was many, long years ago.
They’ve lived out every promise, Even in the lows.
Here in his weakness, She became his strength.
He loves her even more, and she does just the same.

That’s the kind of love, I want for me.
But can I give it back, Lord please help it be.
A love and commitment, that’s not common any more.
The kind that don’t give up, or shuffle out the door.

He pushes the wheel chair. She pretends to dance.
Just like they use to do. To the rhythm of Romance.
He couldn’t leave her. She’s apart of him.
The love they share’s eternal. You can see it in his grin.

That’s the kind of love, I want for me.
But can I give it back, Lord please let it be.
A love and commitment, that comes from above.
I know that it’s Jesus, He’s the author of all love.
