standing outside a distant Temple
i reach within its bright sunshine
through an empty window
pain
i wonder does the sun feel mine

in the corner of my mind
floats a winters virgin snow
through a shattered window
pain
i ponder how God’s harvest grows

a tiny sprig in latter days
grows up stands strong by former rains
discerns God’s word unto the world
witness the Revelation of His ways

standing within a distant Temple
the harrowing wind outside doth blow
crossing four corners of the world
autumn calls a harvest snow

one angel stands upon land and sea
dividing such numbered by God from beast
i hold behind God’s Temple wall
sheltered as the chafed harvest reaps

out of a future swallowed by the world
rides forth God’s Shepherd wielding an iron rod
leading the way for His tomorrow’s children
thereupon all shall know He is One God!

standing within God’s distant Temple
i feel the love of His Son’s shine
while through a mirrored windowpane
i behold this spirit-soul of mine
