I looked at the splendid array of stars
High up in the sky
Twinkling like gleaming pearls.
I watched fascinated
At the luminous dots
Adorning the dark sky.
Not one of them was lost out in the night
For the Creator had counted each one of them.

I reflected deeply on the message
They were sending below.
To be a bright and shining star
In whatever way we can.
To do our bit here on earth
To give from our abundance of love
Enfolding all who come our way.

To give our light to the world whilst in it
And one day when time is no more
To shine from above, close to Heaven’s galaxy.
Perhaps, someone will look up at the sky
Search and find us amongst the stars
And know we are still close to earth and never far
Shining forth, shining brightly
Shining forever!
