I have to tell you about a new ministry I will be developing. I am SO excited! You see, I met with my publicist yesterday and we were trying to see where I could do presentations and my experience with working with adults with disabilities. I said," Ya know, my dream has always been to provide retreats for people with mental illness, down syndrome, and people who are elderly who have dementia and their families."

The more we talked we both realized that is where my heart is. I have worked about 27 years with people with severe mental illness, and have worked with adults with developmental disabilities and older adults in long tern care. I am certified as an Activity Coordinator which trained me to provide activities for older adults in long term care programs and hospitals.

This ministry of helping churches and Christian program working with adults with disabilities provide services and give retreats for them and their families as excited me! What I am asking you is do you have a severe disability or do you know of a person who does and their family? If so, could you let me know if I could contact them and see what kind of resources and Christian support they need?

I may also write a book about this and provide resources. Yea!! I think I have found my new ministry. If you know of any organizations which would be open to Christian retreats or support for this ministry could you let me know?
