The 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ
It will start out an ordinary day I’m sure like any other day, with children in school, people at work, birthdays & weddings being celebrated, giving no reason for fear or alarm. If only the good life could last forever. But here the Bible uses the word “suddenly” to upset the affairs of the world. Suddenly, without any warning, without any notice, suddenly it says, like no chance to grab a Bible, find a minister or say a prayer. Suddenly,
The trumpet will sound,
The heavens will crack,
The sun will be darkened,
The moon will turn into blood,
The graves will be opened and the dead shall rise.
What next? Jesus will appear. How will he look?
The head that once was crowned with thorns is now crowned with glory!
The hands that once were pierced with iron now grasp a golden scepter!
The feet that once were nailed to a cross now burn like brass in a furnace!
The back that once was ripped to shreds now shoulders the Universe!
The eyes that once were covered with spittle now sparkle like flames of fire!
The name that once was mocked and cursed is now the name above all names!
The man that once was despised and rejected is now adored and exalted!
The voice that once was silent before his accusers now returns with a voice of judgment.
The Lamb who once took away the sins of the world is now the Lion whose coming will devour his enemies!

What then?
The nations will be assembled,
The books will be opened,
Your name will be summoned,
An account will be demanded,
A judgment will be pronounced,
A place will be assigned.
Your destiny will be sealed!
