Introduction
The word derision comes from the word DERIDE which in itself means

"to treat or speak of with contempt"
or
"To harshly mock; ridicule"

This often happens to those people being "shut-up" for the right things they do in a community or place.

Example:
A teacher feels embarrassed to have a difficult question be answered by one of his brilliant students because he himself cannot
answer it correctly. So he derides the student; to pull away their self esteem. We can thus say "He derided his student's
attempt to solve the biggest problem in mathematics"

derision - contemptuous laughter
derision - the act of deriding or treating with contempt

Lesson
In life, we make decisions that sometimes lead us to other people NOT APPRECIATING the good things we do or ought to do.
They thus find solace in derision. They cause a great multitude to laugh at us and shame us. When Jesus Christ was going
to the cross, they derided his ministry saying "He saved others, but he cannot save himself'. What i love about God is that he
gives us strength to overcome this and shoves us forward he pursues a goal in us such that no matter how much they laugh,
we strive for what we purpose.

As we find ourselves surpassing those lines in life, however, let us not in turn TRY to attain our goals so that we can ALSO
SHAME those who were laughing. Rather, lets attain the goals to praise God for his mercy and strength: in this we show
LOVE to those who hate us and thus praise God in Jesus Christ our Lord and savior
