YIELD NOT TO TEMPTATION

"It is written", takes temptation
And makes it see its due
Jesus Christ the Word Himself
Has victory for you
So important is the matter
To be found in Him
Otherwise you live defeated
Caught up in your sin

Don't take second best for living
When Jesus is the One
He can give you true thanksgiving
Through His work as Son
Heaven came to earth to rescue
Sinner's such as I
"Ir is written" you old devil
Victory draweth nigh

Watch and pray, my brother
You know the flesh is weak
Be ye filled with the Spirit
"It is written" seek!
His Word, God's Word is true
Yield not to temptation
Seek ye first the Lord Jesus Christ
Enjoy so great Salvation
