Family life could not be better. You feel, at least at this present time, that you indeed have the best partner in the world. Your children simply could not behave any better. Financially, you have the home you have always wished for, fine clothes, new automobiles, and money in the bank. Your job is fulfilling and your co-workers adore you. Physically, you and your loved ones are the picture of perfect health. Spiritually, you couldn’t imagine any better. Life as you know it is GOOD! Not a care in the world! Now, open your eyes and wake up because this is nothing but a mere dream to the majority of people.

Most people don’t have things so easy or carefree. Every day we wake up to a stack of bills, some past due. We are stressed out, the car won’t start, we work at places we can barely tolerate, our children seem extra mischievous, our clothes are too tight, we find ourselves arguing with our spouse for insignificant reasons, and it seems every day something else is tearing up or breaking down. To beat it all, we wake up every day to a new ache or pain, another wrinkle, and another bad hair day. And to top it off, we need to be in ten places at once. Does any of this sound familiar?

In today’s society, the problems keep adding up and the demands from others keep piling with it. We have more stress with lesser solutions. We are constantly worrying. It is easy to set back and enjoy life when everything is going great. These trials, tribulations, and hardships place big bumps in the road and are often followed by big blows to our trust in God.

One thing is for sure, that turning it over to God is the solution. Having faith and trust in Him to work out life’s hardships. He never said that life would be easy but told us to come to Him all who are labored and heavy laden and He would give us rest. I am reminded of the story of the footprints in the sand…when we only see one set of footprints, it was those times when we simply could not walk that He picked us up and carried us. God created the universe and all that is within it in six days, so He can surely carry those burdens that we can’t. He can turn those not-so-good situations into complete blessings. There is absolutely nothing too tough for our God. No problem is too big and no problem is too small for God to manifest His mercy, grace, love, and power.

God’s will is for us not to get pulled down by the weight of this world. Allow God to be in control and start seeing changes. The God that spoke the mountains into existence can move mountains to change circumstances.
