Faith

Don’t put me on a pedestal.
For I will surely fall.
I am a person, just like you,
with a past,
and all.

I have a heart.
I have a mind,
and sometimes get so lost.
Then Jesus draws me nigh again,
to everything a cost.

We build walls up,
then tear them down,
when Satan comes to play.
But God is right there tugging too,
'This is not the way'.

So help me when the walls fall down.
Build them back in place.
I am Yours.
You are mine,
and all the rest,
Is Grace.
