Encouragement

I wish my every wish would once come true,
not only for myself, but also you.
As sure as I know oceans meet the sand,
I think how small I am.

I wish to God, an end to poverty,
each orphaned child would find a family.
A cure for every ailment known to man,
I think how small I am.

Because I work alone, I often pray,
imagining myself then, as a wave.
A cleansing of corruption through each land,
I think how small I am.

The Lord Himself's a mystery to me,
I often wonder how I came to be!
I watch the sunrise, it is clear to see
just how small I am.

Yet, when I see a rose bush in full bloom,
and I inhale the scent, it's own perfume,
I'm taken to a place unkown to man,
I know how tall I am!

And should I hold a babe within my arms,
counsel someone who has suffered harm.
Fed each dove, each tiny little lamb,
I know how tall I am.
