The Steps of a Christian
Learning to Walk

How do we look to God? What does God see when he see us coming? We wear a holy face in church, but a Devil's face all the rest of the week. Man looks on the outer man but God looks on a man's heart. The Devil wants to deface the Christian. He is still the same Devil fallen from heaven. He is the same liar he was then. Why do we allow him to run rampant in our lives? Jesus has taken the sting out of death and Jesus has put Satan under our feet, so why are we allowing him free course in our lives. Romans 16:20, And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under you feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, amen. We have been saved to do something, find out where your best work is done and do it as unto the Lord.

My grandson is a child, two years old. He always seemed to know things before it happened even at a year old. I wondered why he always wanted to follow his daddy. He watched his daddy's every move. His daddy had to take him with him wherever he went. The child had just made a year old and I was at his mom's grandmother house. I talked to her and prayed for her. She was sick but said she felt good. When I got ready to leave I told her I will see her later. My grandson who spoke only a few words waved his hands at her and said bye; bye. We all was puzzled by what he said because all he would say prior to that was daddy and no. I tried to tell him don't say bye, say see you later. He said no and waived bye to her and said it again bye, bye. I knew it was the Lord's leading when one hour later she was rushed to the hospital, never to come home again. She died.

When this child's father, my son would leave home he would cry like his daddy was going and never coming back. The last time I baby sit with the children while they went to the Doctor A J hollered for forty five minutes and I called them to come and get him to take with them. This child hollered and it wasn't that he was crying. He hollered for his daddy and not his mom. He hollered for his dad like it was the last time he would see him. Of course they had to come back and get him. When his daddy came in and got him he stopped crying. This child cried with every ounce of strength he had in him. How do we cry out to God? Do we cry out to the Lord like it was our last time? Do we pray like it is our last prayer to be prayed? He had to be with his daddy at all times. His daddy died a few weeks later and he was not with him. In sharing this special relationship please revisit our relationship with God. To what lengths are we willing to go to for our savior that He leaves us not? Or do we give it a second thought? This child grieved for his daddy just like a grownup. His daddy was with him eighty percent of every day. How much time are we willing to give to the Lord? We say we love Him.

Many times we do not pay attention to the things a baby does, but this child was special. His daddy said when he was six months old that he was going to make this child a man before he left. I said "boy you are crazy". I didn't think that he was going to be murdered and leave us here in the earth. The world is raging with all kinds of activity not conducive to Christian life. The Christian must pray against these devastating spirits of corruption. After the baby episode with his great grandmother, he had to deal with (at a very tender age) the death of his father. This child missed his father so much he just cried. How can we say we love God and don't look for Him everyday as this child did his natural father. Some may say he wasn't saved, but he gave his life back to the Lord a couple of days before. He always had a special relationship with God. He was reared up in Christ, not just brought to church. He didn't play in church. He listened as a child to what the Pastor and everyone else that spoke something said. He and his brothers would go home and preach and mimic everything said and done. He was six years old at the time. His dad and I couldn't remember all that was said but our sons did. They had church after church, singing, praying, dancing, and preaching. We had Bible Study at home also. My oldest son read the Bible front to back through and through before he was twelve years old. They still read their Word and prayed because it was put in them while they were young. They have a personal relationship with God.

You see the difference in them being in Church was they love God and the relationship that they had with God propells them to pray every morning and every night. They read the Word every night. They seek on their own because they have seen their mother be crucified in churches. Although the hurt did not affect me, it did them. The actions taken by the leaders in the various churches stood in the way of a sinner, sat in the seat of the scornful. We have to be so careful of what we do, we never know what others think of God when the see us. These boys still read their Bible and pray because it was put in them while they were young. They have a personal relationship with God. They seek for God, more than many in church does. We need to seek for a relationship with God that we seek for daily. Others only just go to church to say they went or to please someone else other than God. Many use the church as a pimping station. They hide out behind the walls.

You see the difference is this, one seek for the more of God while the other remain comfortable just to be there. Everybody goes through pain and hurt, but there is nothing like a church hurt. My sons has watched me give my all and all to churches and they also saw how I was put out of Church. They alway saw and heard people talking about their mother, her being hurt in church, going through undue changes. They saw her give her all to the work of the ministry but yet they beat her down, pistol whipped and thrown out of some churches. She was committed to the Lord, had not made all the steps to adulthood in Christ, but loved the Lord with all her heart. Now why would they want to come to the church? They still read their Word and pray everyday and night because it was put in them when they were young. Many things in churches are done out of an impure heart. A sinner sin and they are real about it they say. They think people in churches are not real. How do we come off to the world? They understand that those things done to their mother (church after church) was out of impure hearts.

People we backbite and devour each other. We take what we know about each other and we use it to run people away from God. Somebody is always watching you. We want our churches creature comfort. We are guilty of treason. One preacher said he knew that a man was a runner because he was a drug addict. He used what he knew to run this man even farther away from his wife and God. How can he expect God to do anything for him when he won't repent for putting asunder in someone else marriage. He won't repent either because he think that he did nothing wrong. But when we know a person is sick and we do something that will make them even sicker we are guilty of the blood of Christ. This man thought he was right in his actions. Its not the people he hurt, it's God. Those people belonged to God and have a personal relationship with God.

We as Christians need to learn how to walk. We have skipped over walking and trying to run to be the next superstar, build the next biggest church. We are so out of touch with God. We have missed what important. One preacher said my writings were too hard. Well if you believe that then you are saying to me that its too hard to live right. Its not hard when you have a williness to live for and die for Christ. The steps of every child is ordered by the Lord. He tries to stand and falls. He takes baby steps and fall. He gets up and tries again and again. He soon learn to put his steps together and walk. Soon he stands alone and make every step by himself. We as the people of God. Soon he began to stand alone, put his steps together and walk. Soon he stands alone and make every step by himself. We as the people of God stands alone when we meet Jesus and we will stand alone before him when we die. No one else can stand with you and talk for you. This relationship is what many Christians walk over. They walk over what God has called them to and hear what man says rather than God. God is there with you in the beginning and will be in the end. Why do we listen to the widsom of what man says? We need to look at the Spirit operating in that person and run for our lives if we find that leader deficient in their relationship.

What's holding us captive? Man will put you in a positiion they think you will best work in to build them up but you better be Spirit led, Spirit controlled and spiritually activated by God and God alone. It's time for the Preachers, Pastors, Evangelist, Prophets, Teachers, and Apostles to get in tune with God. Too many started with God but left Him. It's hard to tell them that they need to go back and revisit when they first received God in thier lives.Too many started with God and looked back to Egypt. What in the world do we want in hell? David said in Psalm the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. The people seek for the seat on Jesus, they want to sit on the right hand of God, but can they and are they willing to be crucified as Jesus did? We formulate little gods in the earth when the Lord is our strength, he will rule us even in the midst of our enemies. We are to encourage God's people as they take steps toward God. They may fall but the get up and try walking again. God said the strong ought to bear the infirmary of the weak. In the day of man's power, people are willing to do whatever it takes to be apart of a church in the day of power. Every church is not operating in the beauty of holiness in the building. We live for God everyday. God has sworn and will not repent, we are his the sheep of his pasture, not man. God will execute his wrath on the prideful ones and he will judge among the heather. The extortioner spoils his own labor.

God will not hold his peace agaist the mouth of the wicked or the deceitful that speaks lies. All those that compass man about with words of hatred and fight against them without a cause is an adversary to God. Because of this their heart is a just like Satan's when he was in heaven; rewarding people with evil for their good and hatred for their love. Whoever was with him he used. They never realized Satan's cunningness. The Angels went to hell as they were deceived also. God judged them and they were condemned and their prayers became sin. Never was there a time in man's life as it is now where everybody wants a title and will do anything to get it and keep it. They find themselves vagabonds and beggars going to all length to stay afloat. They become extortioners and nobody will extend mercy to them. All those that make a name for themselves lift themselves up in pride and they shall be cut off and in the generations to come their name shall be blotted out. Their works will be no more remembered because it's not all about Jesus in their work. Out of all the good man can do, he can do one negative thing and it will be remembered forever. We have to make sure the work we do, God is pleased. We have to obey God even when we don't agree with what is happening in our lives. Just know though that God have in His control all of who we are and do. It will work for His good. Our hearts must be fixed and we trust in the Lord. We must establish our heart and not be afraid of change because we trust in God. God's righteousness endure forever. The wicked will see us grow up and be grieved. He will gnash with his teeth, and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall shall perish. We have to watch our steps and we grow up right in our Christian walk.

Many Christians never reach maturity in God. Many never do because they only reach a point of stepping up and giving the Preacher their right hand of fellowship. Most only came up to the church as a habit and never learned what it really mean to be a Christian. Many are sons of the church and not God. They bless their children in the natural but htey are spiritually inept. No child is right but the Pastors. We have to come out of tradition; even the tradition of program after program that has programmed God out. All that is thought of is how to raise some money only, it not about God. The Pentecostal Church has become like the Roman Catholics, traditionally so. Not a save is being saved that their soul may rise up out of hell.

Just as that baby talked about in the beginning of this message we have to also know the Spirit lingering in our midst. We have to keep a tender heart where we can hear God. We must be in tune with what is around us. Get in tune with God, His Word, and HIs Spirit, learn to walk Christian, take every step God affords us to take. What kind of man is this? Man have a sin nature, they commit sin and tries to cover the iniquity. We are always before God wanting something from him and we will even ask God to do evil to another. We show no mercy, persecute the poor and needy, slay the broken in heart and we love cursing. Man when he lifts himself up in pride clothes himself with cursing, cursing people coming and going that do not agree with them. They never are satisfied with what God has already done for them for they don't delight in the blessings God has already blessed them with. They are selfish and figures that God owe them something for showing their face in the sanctuary among men. They speak evil against men souls, reproach one another and they just shake their head at the poor. They condemn the souls of the poor.

What kind of man is this? Take note to the Christian that cry out to the Lord for help, save me according to thy mercy that they may know you God and that you have done it in our lives. We say let them curse us, but we bless them. When they rise against us we pray, let them be ashamed. But God you let your servant rejoice. Let all of our adversary be clothe with sham, let them cover themselves with their thou own confusion. We will greatly praise the Lord with our mouths among the multitude for God will stand at my right hand of the poor to save him from these that condemn his soul. The steps of the Christian is ordered by the Lord. The steps are one by one as we travel and prevail in the earth. One day we wont need a roadmap but right now we have to learn to walk; taking one step at a time.
