O'Lord go ahead and mess with me
do to me whatever, your will
Work me over from the top to the bottom
yes, go on put me through the drill

There's a whole lot of work that need be done
some areas are a bit out of whack
And it sure could use your tender loving hands
so to keep me on the right track

Start at the top where negative thoughts do drop
clear them away so I can see
The right needful things that can be useful
Lord keep on messing with me

Fill up my heart with more hope to cope
and more love with compassion too
You already know I need a forgiving spirit
because, nothing else will do

Lord work on this clay to make it more it's worth
of the purpose you have in-store for it
So it won't accept anything, that tries to cling
for I'll be out of place and become unfit

Although your word told me for to search myself
but, I might just miss a spot or few
That's why I trust this clay fully in your care
seeing you know what it lacks in you

O'Lord if you have need to take it all apart
it's ok, for change is good"
Do whatever it takes you never makes mistakes
and will make it be, in the way it should
