God and man have something in common.
   We are both faithful.

Man is faithful in missing the point.

God is faithful in being the Point.

Note: I know I talk about the Bible alot here and elsewhere.
 
I never want to think that God gave the Bible so Christians could go around and prove they were right. That's missing the point of the Bible.
 
I like something Rich Mullins said about God and the Bible:
 
"I think if we were given the Scriptures, it was not so that we could prove that we were right about everything. If we were given the Scriptures, it was to humble us into realizing that God is right, and the rest of us are just guessing."
 
He also said this:
 
"I had a prof (professor) one time - my favorite prof in the whole world - This is one of my favorite bible college stories. He said, 'Class, you will forget almost everything I will teach you in here, so please remember this: that God spoke to Balaam through his ass, and He has been speaking through asses ever since.'"
