I know I am no longer the Adam to your Eve.
The man to turn cold wants into warm desire;
Nor the man who filled your heart not so long ago.
But I have determined to be the man He has called me to be;
The man I have always dreamed of being.
Can your dream find fulfillment in mine?

I know the wait has been long…your patience stretched.
But the road of pain I now walk
Is the road that has been chosen for me
To reach my Canaan…perhaps, our Canaan.
Can you walk it with me…Will you walk it with me?

I feel your spirit with me always.
I know your love, tested beyond measure, remains true;
But it is the presence of a friend
That cools the desert winds
And makes the rocky passes less treacherous.
You are that friend…am I still yours?

I know I must continue this journey;
Fighting the searing winds and biting sands,
And trudging through frozen drifts and blinding snow
That conspires to keep me from my prize.
When I reach it will you be with me?
Will we share together our victory over the scorching dunes;
Rejoicing in our triumph over the mountain passes?

Your answer determines the reward:
Shangri-la…or just another warm place to rest!
