My good Lord
If I could see
My life as it is laid out
Mapped out
Planned for me
Maybe I would have more hope
Maybe I would sense the glee
I see
In those who live
Immersed in thee.

I know it, yes,
I know I’m yours
I know you’re mine in turn
Knowledge doesn’t match the hope
Of living love
Of loving live
Embracing love
And sharing life
That’s only found in thee.

I pray the days ahead would find me
Chasing you with fervent hope
As I abandon all I know
And fall into
Your promise
Planned out
Mapped out
Prepared for me
In thee.
