From Jordan to Canaan
The Promised Land
This was His plan
And God’s command.

Decided Moses was not t enter
But was allowed to see
This did not trigger anger
Because of his great humility.

He rather inspired:
‘Be brave and be strong.’
He motivated and charged:
‘Fight, obey, enter with a song.’

He understood God’s sovereignty
Was willing to submit
To the Lord, God Almighty.
Leadership, to Joshua, did commit.

Power was transferred
And so was authority
Had faith, one day they will enter
The Promised Land, rout the enemy.

‘Be not afraid.’ he said
‘Neither be you dismayed
Stand strong and be bold instead
God is faithful, be encouraged.’

‘Read and study the word
Embrace godly counsel
Reverence, worship the Lord.
As your first love, do not rebel.
