Even in this prison, I'm in Christ's kingdom.
So I'll sing until I die.
He is my Joy. I am His boy;
   a truth I won't deny.
To be with Him is my gain.
To stay the gain is yours.
To live's my aim, in His good name.
And so I know I'll stay the course.

He keeps all that I have given.
He only gives what I can bear.
I thank Him as I'm living,
   and so He has me in His care.

By His grace I saw His face,
   knocking me off my horse.
In being kind, He made me blind,
   until I joined His force.
So I left what kept me lost,
   traditions of mere men.
Satan came, my soul to sift,
   but the Lord saved me from sin.

He keeps all that I have given.
He only gives what I can bear.
I thank Him as I'm living,
   and so He has me in His care.

Of sinful men, I am chief.
Please hear my last words.
But now I'm gone, and so's my grief.
I'm with the one great Lord.
To be with Him is now my gain.
Now my words are yours.
So live His aim, in His good name,
   and like me please stay the course.

He has kept what I have given.
He gives reward for what I bear.
I thank Him I'm still living,
   and how I'm ever in His care.
He'll keep what you have given.
He only gives what you can bear.
Please thank Him as you're living,
   now see how you're in His care.
