Snow assault causing summersault
Streets covered with salt
Sheets of white here and there
Fell twice in a row without dignity
Creeping, crawling like a snail.
Miles of tell-back of cars
Some looked as if nailed
Others like trains derailed
Slowly going no where.

You were better off walking.

Some cars needed pushing
But found none volunteering.
Parked cars with their white caps
And white sunglasses
Or is it snowglasses?

School children elated
‘Let the snow-fighting begin.’

Snowballs like fireworks
Even teachers had their share.

‘We better close the school,’
they thought, ‘
‘No child wants to be taught.
And no one wants to go to the court.

“Lets have holiday
All the way
For this we have prayed.
Closing the school is cool.
Better obey as weather rules. ”

The air so fresh
Licking the ice
Brought revival
Like eagle licking fresh blood
Recharged, renewed re-launched.

Great relief as I stepped
into the house like a mouse;
Then it was another fight-
A fight against frost-bite.

Reflecting about the snow I thought:
Despite so many, each unique.
How great Thou art!
