2Pet 1:14 Knowing that shortly I must put off [this] my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.

2Pet 1:15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

Collecting oneself's up from a mistake or slumber counts more than maintaining a very good patch in life. Recovery means more because it comes with unexpected redemptions! It shuns already perceived ends to be invalid, it mesmerises the enemy.

Once or twice in the Christian life, one is bound to be deceived by situations, in the process sliding back a bit. At times it is the time when we are so stablished in deed; preaching, evangelising or prophecying that that a situation comes so hard on us that the belief and fire within us seems to light off.

We feel the glow growing deem. Thats when eagerness to HOPE reduces. We then feel pressured to 'PLEASE' God, by giving him time, forcing our refusing hearts to do those things that are easier done in the comfort of the spirit.

Unless we come to real terms with the purification and cleansing of the spirit, the comfort and the counsel thereof; we fail to convince our hearts that God has forgiven us of our slamber. These are the near times of a christian death.

Peter, here, encourages us to follow these steps even though we might have gone over and over them again and again:

with diligence, add to your faith + (virtue + (knowledge + (temperance + (patience + (godliness + (brotherly kindness + kindness charity.)))))) I love it that the chain grows more spiritual as you step more towards the left.

Though the inner death seemingly becomes imminent, if you keep adding one step each, from kindness charity, that burning faith will soon ignite, and though you would have neared death, you'll once more have life.
