1Cor 6:12 All things are lawful for me; but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Freedom is a great feeling! One would probably never trade it for the world. The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ brought to us a freedom unknown. I sometimes cry when i remember all the times gone past. Realising how i wasted so much for so little. When i accepted Jesus Christ as a personal saviour and Lord, i found this freedom.

The apostle Paul was asserting that his freedom. Whilst asserting it, he also specify's how this freedom cannot get a hold on him also. For he knows that the same 'freedom' can just be a catalyst for some sort of bondage again.

The fact that we are christians does not make us immune to fleshly challenges. Rather, it champions us to be victors in the spirit. Many times christians slip away from the spirit to 'enjoy' a life in the open. Unfortunately, these times are known by the enemy, hence he traps us in these!

I heard this sermon about getting back up (i cant remember the preacher), but it says once we discover we've fallen, let us get back up quick, for the floor is not a place for champions. He says we ought to spring up and if need be, regenerate our strength in a place of growth, and rebuild the lost ruins.

This courage is brought about by understanding the fact that we need to be vigilant, and stay awake in Christ, for better or for worse! A christian is a more than a conqueror. Hence any fleshly challenge is a victory through the spirit! Amen.
