I’m so thankful for all God has done for me and blessed me with. I just can’t tell Him enough. I have wondered if He gets tired of hearing me tell Him how much I love Him. Then, I think of my kids and my husband. I never get tired of hearing it. I believe He loves it too.
I love Him so much that some people might say that I am fanatical. I am! People have hobbies and interests that they are crazy about. What better to be crazy in love with, than God? I decided that I wanted to start having prayer meetings in my home. I grew up with my parents having prayer meetings every Friday night. We would sing to Jesus, we saw people saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. The place was filled with the presence of God. It was always amazing and I will never forget them.
Our children have not seen that. We have had a few prayer meetings, here and there. Life is so busy, it’s hard to get people together anymore. I decided to try anyway. I am so hungry for more of God that Sunday and Wednesday are not enough anymore. I have been in the presence of God and try my best to spend time with Jesus everyday. I want others to experience the same thing. I have read the Bible and now I am at the point in my life that I want to dissect it, break it down and get the hidden secrets and treasures that God has revealed to us in His Word.
Jeremiah 33:3 3 'Judah, pray to me, and I will answer you. I will tell you important secrets you have never heard before.'
I believe God will send those who want more of Him, to share in our prayer meetings. There is something special about gathering with others. There is encouragement, it lifts our spirits to hear others uplifting Christ and there is power when we agree in prayer.
Acts 12:12 12 When this had dawned on him, he went to the house of Mary the mother of John, also called Mark, where many people had gathered and were praying.
I actually just want to spend time loving on Him. If the whole evenings are just about singing His praises and glorifying Him, then we have done what we were created to do.
This world is getting worse and the morals are declining at a high rate. Our children need to experience God in a way they never have before. I think opening our homes to prayer meetings are just what my kids need to see and experience. To see, that Jesus shows up more than just Sunday and Wednesday. He is there to be called upon every moment of everyday, but also to be praised, in our homes and in our lives.
When I am in church, for those 2 hours, or so, it seems that nothing can touch me. No worries. No money problems. No pressure of what has to be done. No worries that generally weigh on our mind, on a daily basis. There is just peace, calm and contentment. I soak up the presence of the Lord and worship Him. We can experience that everyday of our life and we need to make sure that we share that with others. I think there are quite a few who love the Lord, who would agree that Sundays are just not enough anymore. Give me more. More of Jesus!
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 16 Always be joyful.17 Pray continually,18 and give thanks whatever happens. That is what God wants for you in Christ Jesus.
