A Cyber Thing


The air is filled with flying things,
things with and without wings,
things you see and things you don’t,
some that sing and some that won’t.
If you wonder what I mean,
it’s all about this cyber thing.
It leaves me to wonder why
one hasn’t hit me in the eye?

Some folks say they can’t believe
in a God they can not see
and yet, each and everyday
they receive and send away
letters, messages, and notes
and never once do they hope
that the message will arrive.
Yet, they wonder if God’s alive and
"Does He hear the prayers we pray?"

Here is what I have to say;
just think of how your words arrive
to the earth’s other side
when all you had to do was type
some letters on a screen
and move the cursor, blinking thing,
which you cannot touch,
click then on the word called "send,"
and watch it fade away and then
relax in peace, with confidence
that your message is received.
Now have the nerve say to me,
that unless Him you "see," that
believing in God, is a difficulty.
