Social Justice and Evangelism

Young and old.
Rich and poor.
Russian and Lithuanian.
Educated and uneducated.
Parent-less and families.
Healthy and sick.
Mature and immature.
Creative and sporty.
Outgoing and shy.
Believers and unbelievers.

The ‘both’ and the ‘and’.
A church for others is a church for us.
Where misfits and the popular share a coffee.
Where the doctor and the addict worship together.
Where our hurts and sorrows are comforted and healed.
Where our souls’ longing receives adoption.

It is here on earth,
And there in heaven.
It is Christ’s body,

And we call it ‘the church’.
