MINISTRY AND MARRIAGE

Unfortunately, many minister's home are suffering from divorce, separation and other marital problem. Is this one of the sign of the end time?Is it the work of the devil, the adversary of believer?

Failure in ministers' marriage isn't sign of the end times neither is it devil's work;however it is repercussion of giving the ministry greater attention than marriage. Ministers of this dispensation want to marry and have a family but never want to see their home as the headquarter of their ministry,

The wise saying of Solomon in song of Solomon 1:6 says, 'Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept'.

He failed in keeping is own vineyard because h was made an overseer of family's vineyard, many ministers have also failed in right attitude at home in the name of calling, it isn't gospel, Peter, though an ardent follower of Christ, yet took his family important, he said to Christ my mother in-law is sick of fever come and pray for him.

If Peter had carried the ministry over his head he would has forgotten what is happening at home. Many minister take ministerial assignment important than their home, they fail to carry their home along, therefore the devil take advantage of such to strike in their home.

Uriah took the battle important than his marriage, though the king pleaded with him to go back home, yet he wouldn't listen. He wanted to be at the battle front. The devil took advantage of this, made Beersheba her wife to be attracted to David so he used his life as ransom of not taking his marriage important.


Though God was annoyed with David's act, nevertheless, God still gave him Solomon, that wise son through Beersheba, the wife of Uriah. A home not taking important may be giving to another person who will see it as very essential.

Ministry is one, marriage is another thing they must not be made to counter each other.
