Wake up in the morning, think it is a dream
Realise it's not, feel I could scream.
A few weeks ago I was buying ice cream.
Why oh why can't it be a dream

My precious wee boy, my pride, my joy
Taken away, can't buy him a toy.
A handful he was , but my beautiful boy
Wish he was here, to bring back that joy

I miss his wee handprints on my windows and shelves
The loving moments when we were ourselves
Don't shout at me mum, he always won
He was my son, but also my chum
I'm telling you something mummy, he'd say
We will meet again, one beautiful day

An angel he was even on earth
So special he was, since the day I gave birth
A gift from God, I knew he was,
Taken so young, God must have a cause.

Only the Lord knows, the reason why.
I don't why, thats why I cry
My darling Marc now you can fly
To live without you, we will try
