WINGS OF GOLD


What kind of wings were set upon thee...
Clipped, damaged or can you fly free?

Do you survive and hunt like a bird of prey...
Or do you chatter and sing the day away?

Are your burdens so heavy that you can't fly above...
Or can you trust in Him like the Spirit of the dove?

I take my rest in the shadow of His wing,
Where His holiness rules over everything.

I take my flight in the middle of the night,
In prayer, I give Him my fears and fright.

With strong wings I will fly where I should.
Offering messages that are needed and good.

My wings can not be harmed by any rage,
For they grow more golden as I steadily age.

Every day passing I will take off to fly
Sharing His Word until the day I die.



Psalm 36:7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness,
O God! Therefore the children of men put their
trust in the shadow of thy wings.
