I pitched my tent just outside sin’s camp
I knew it was not safe
But I was drawn by the light from its fire
Comforted by its warmth upon my face
Attracted by the sounds and sights it offered

So tempted was I by this light
So dazzled by the dancing flames
So blinded to its empty promise
That I failed to see that right behind me
Dawn was breaking

Suddenly, a small still voice within me
Compelled me to turn and look...reluctantly I obeyed
And then stood in awed silence
Before the most beautiful scene that ever any man beheld

For there...edging over the horizon
Chasing all darkness before it
Dimming all other light in its presence
Was that One Light
That gladdens every lonely heart
Quickens every lame step
And causes the silent tongue to burst forth
With a new song

The true Light...The perfect Light
