I love this song by Casting Crowns. It so perfectly depicts my thinking today... and for the past weeks, if I'm being honest.

I've felt a lukewarm-ness to my faith as of late. Not that my faith has dwindled... not that it's not strong... and not that I doubt what the Lord has said. It's more of a stillness. A motionless faith. I'm still praying, I'm still believing, and I'm certainly still in love with my Jesus!! I just feel a disconnect. Not from the Lord, per se, but a disconnect from fellowship... from my calling... from my purpose.

I still do my best to encourage others, but do not think I'm giving it my all.... I feel as though I'm stuck between doing nothing and doing everything... in the middle.

My faith is certainly deep. I believe all that the Lord has said WILL come to pass. I believe in His healing power. In His power of deliverance. In His unfailing love for His children. I guess I'm just not feeling active at this point. Stagnant, if you will. Similar to water with no motion. No motion... no oxygen. No oxygen... no life. Stinky, yucky water.

I don't want to have a stinky faith. I don't want to be afraid to jump in the deep end of the ocean, for I know that if the Lord has called me to it, He WILL keep me afloat. Even amidst the roughness of the waves... He will provide for me.

I don't want to lose sight of what HE WANTS ME TO DO!! I want to do it wholeheartedly; giving my all; to the best of my ability; without worrying about what others will think; about what they will say, or of their judgement.

I think my fear of success has gotten the best of me... Keeps me caught in the middle of God's plan for my life... I'm not who I was, but I'm not yet who I'm meant to be. I'm definitely still a work in progress... but aren't we all?!?!
