Oh God, I’m scared
And I know I shouldn’t be,
Because I truly believe
That you are always there
To take care of me
Even when the situation is scary.

I know the devil is angry,
Because he tried before to take me out.
You turned those circumstances about,
Helped me to dance, sing and shout,
And taught me that I am still free
To be all you want me to be.

Now he’s trying to take my focus off you.
He’s trying to make me forget
Who I am supposed to let
Have control over all I do.
I’ll keep my feet planted, my mind is set,
You are my God, most faithful and most true.

I’ll try to remember this is a test.
I know all things work for your glory.
This will be another story
Of how you, Oh God, are the best,
And that I have the victory
As in your arms I rest.
