We have all heard enough of mercy in New Testament,for us it is just something we already.nothing new or it tends to be quite boring to hear it again and again.

Perhaps we need to have a new look at it,we need to be confronted by Gods word to us, that we might be Gods true workmanship.

Throughout NT we hear lots of stories,lessons from Jesus and truly those stories are serious lessons for us believers.

Showing mercy to others-that's what Jesus would like us to do and not sacrifices.Showing mercy to those who do not deserve it,mercy to those poor in spirit-the needy,the non-believer.The way we see or treat them play a major part of their willingness to receive Christ.Believe or not!

It's time to really take a look how we behave towards the world.The world is not going to be impressed by our church denominations, how many peoples in the church, how we sing praises and worship, how we dress up like Saints. It's all about our behavior toward non-believers, toward government, friends and neighbours. Not much about our church attendants.

'Mercy' is not shown just to a particular group of peoples that we feel good about, 'mercy' is to ALL mankind. ALL mankind - those that are lowly, poor and needy, not the highly-regarded businessmen or businesswomen only.

Sometimes we do pick the groups we like or we are okay about and we show them some mercy. But Jesus has sent us an example to show mercy to ALL. Look at the groups Jesus hangs out with, or what He focuses on...you will be amazed once more and how contrary the way we act towards others compared to Jesus.

Jesus is our example and must be our example to the World - the way we act and think. What we think affect ultimately what we do...

We heard millions of time about being 'merciful' but have we? Have we shown others mercy the way Jesus actually did...it's time for us to look at ourselves and confess our sins to God, ask God to strengthen us the way we do, help us to imitate Him. In the dying world like this, we cannot risk any moment for not acting merciful and compassionately. They need an answer from us, they heard perhaps lots of time about the love of Jesus, but have we let them experience that wonderful love that we proclaim?

Have they experienced what we experience in Christ, the forgiveness of sins and His richness of 'mercy' towards us - sinner??

Remember this - without Christ, we are nothing. Meditate on it daily if you need, so that we might learn to extend the same mercy towards others.

Amazingly, all through NT, Jesus has been teaching, warning us that we need to behave like Him, those lessons and warnings not much for the non-believers but those warnings were mainly pointing at the Pharisees, we need to accept that, in the body of Christ, many is acting like the Pharisees towards the unsaved, no wonder why Jesus gave lots of lessons to remind us, to warn us not to act like the Pharisees. What a lesson for us to learn, what a warning for us believers!!
