THE BLESSING OF LEADERSHIP 2
We have discovered that everything rises and falls on leadership, including our destiny. We continue exploring the value of leading people. Leadership will empower you to:-
• Use peoples’ time.
I remember a day I was leaving the Church premises after service. I saw people working on the car park, directing individuals as they drove in and out. As I appreciated their commitment, I wondered “What would make people spend hours under the sun, directing drivers, after all they are not being paid for their service?” As I pondered, I finally came to the only logical conclusion I could find-these people are willing to sacrifice their time to serve because the Pastor has been a blessing to them through his leadership ability.
Time is a resource people are not willing to share in a hurry. No wonder we live in a fast-paced world of microwave ovens, fast foods etc. However, when we find someone who genuinely cares for us, we are willing to sacrifice out of our precious time to reciprocate their love.

• Use peoples’ resources.
According to Luke 8:2-3 Jesus had started ministering to the needs of people. Among the people he healed of evil spirits and diseases were Mary Magdalene, Joanna and Susanna. These women committed their resources to help Jesus reach the Jews with the gospel. Why? Jesus had succeeded in ridding their lives of the scourge that plagued them. These women were ostracized from the society because of their problems. They were willing to meet his needs even if it would cost them their resources because he solved their problems. .
Leaders touch peoples’ hearts by meeting their needs. No wonder they never lack help.
