A Moment at the Well


Oh, I do believe I hear a voice

still and small,

neither carried by wind

nor born of a storm,

not quite audible,

but very clear:


(I did ask, afterall, to know Purpose

that I might grasp it

with both hands.)

"You did not choose

Me. I chose you to go ...

Now go. Just go


to wherever I send you. And love."

Now, here I am,

where I am, who I am.

Sinful. Sealed. Human.

Grace and Beauty

surround me.


And, oh, my God,

thank You!

They are beautiful!

Every last gem!

Fearfully, wonderfully made,

marred-but-on-the-mend,


pliable clay in the Potter's hands,

His original.

Isn't it beautiful how God himself sprinkled the most beautiful seeds in your heart, watered them and watched them grow until they are birthed into beautiful words like this...how precious you are in his sight...for my beautiful sister...don't quit...you are touching more lives than you know...be steadfast and unmovable...for what you do in secret HE will reward you openly...
