We're earthen ware with mighty treasure,
lovingly burdened with the power of God.
Infinite Grace, infinite measure,
infinite reason to give Him laud.
From every side we are hard-pressed,
though we are not crushed.
Vessels of clay, we are blessed,
escaping from the lust.
We carry within our Lord's death,
that we may know His life.
So little done for His grace,
so much given in Sacrifice.

We lose no heart, though we perish.
Each day we are renewed.
Each morning says we are cherished,
His Mercy has imbued.
This light affliction, so very brief,
gives way to heavy glory.
For our lives this truth is chief.
The last line of our story.
