What Does God Want from You?
( As Found in the Last Book of the Holy Bible )

When a dear father leaves his son and goes on a long and extended journey, he gives his beloved child his last words of wisdom and understanding. He prays he will take heed of his requests, will listen carefully, and follow exactly his words of advice. They bring life and blessings and not death and cursings. These are the words of God, Father and Master, from his sacred book, The Holy Bible.

" I have loved you, saith the Lord."
Malachi 1:2 and "If then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts...Malachi 1:6
Yes, God demands honour and the fear of God.

"For the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts." Malachi 1:11
This great God wants a pleasing and pure offering from man, not a sickly, contemptible, and corrupt offering.

God also speaks to his messengers, the priests and preachers. "And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you." Malachi 2:1
" For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law...." Malachi 2:7-8
God is displeased when his messengers are not walking with God (by words and deeds) in peace and equity. Turn the congregation from sin, not to sin. Speak the law of truth to the people, and ministers, give the full and not the partial truth of God. Continue to fear the Lord, and he shall grant you life and peace.

God is not pleased with the putting away of the wife. Man should always seek the companionship of a woman who fears and knows the Lord, when looking for a life partner, a wife of thy covenant. Don't be unequally yoked with the the daughter of a strange god! Divorce is unacceptable to God. "And let none deal treacherously against the wife of thy youth. For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away..." Malachi 2: 15-16

My friends, don't get the words of God twisted. Be careful what you say to others. God is listening, and he is weary of men speaking untruths like "Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them..." Malachi 2: 17 A holy God cannot look upon evil, and he takes "no" delight in wickedness.

God does not change. My brothers and sisters, see to it that you have no fellowhip or dealings with sorcerery, adultery, false witnessing against thy neighbor, and oppressing the workers, the widows, the fatherless, or the refugee. God will be a swift witness against you.

Give to God his tithes and offerings.
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10

Serve God. Be ye humble. Keep his ordinances. Live righteously. Fear the name of the Lord. Remember the law of Moses. Do not tempt God. Remember the statutes and judgments of God.

"Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts." Malachi 3:7
Isn't this good news?
