Love

LOVE---WHAT IS LOVE?

Love is a warm affection,
Love is an attachment
Love is a liking or fondness
A Paternal benevolence
That's what the dictionary says.

BUT WHAT DOES GOD SAY?

Love suffereth long
Is kind
Envieth not
Vaunteth not itself
Is not puffed up
Love doth not behave itself unseemly
Seeketh not her own
Is not easily provoked
Thinketh no evil
Love rejoiceth not in iniquity
But rejoiceth in the truth
Love beareth all things
Beleiveth all things
Hopeth all things
Endureth all things

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF LOVE?

Even if you have the gift of prophecy,
Understanding
Knowledge
Faith to move mountains
And have not love
You Are Nothing!

NOTHING?

That's right!

WHO IS LOVE?

God is love.

WHAT PROOF DO YOU HAVE OF THIS?

1st John 4:7 & 8
Beloved, let us love one another
For love is of God and everyone that loveth
Is born of God and knoweth God.
He that loveth not, knoweth not God
For God is Love.

GOD IS LOVE!

Jesus---

THE SON OF GOD?

God the Son
God is Love
Jesus is Love
He showed love to all
Prostitutes
Tax collectors
Adulterers
Thieves
Liars
Fornicators
Murderers
Hypocrites

AREN'T THEY THE REASON WHY HE CAME?

To die that sinners might live
To display the Fathers love to a dark world
So we should also love each other

BUT WE DON'T!

Where iniquity abounds the love of many
Shall wax cold

INIQUITY?

Sin!
Sin is black
God hates sin
God loves righteousness
Cling to righteousness
Express love
It's not ours to give as we like
It's God's and He ask us to give to everyman
The same measure that we would want to receive

AND MORE?

Look at society
Is there any love?

NO!

If there was love
A mother would not kill her child before he's even born
A man would not stab to death an innocent child
Teenagers would not kill themselves over foolish arguments
A husband would not kill his own wife.

WHO CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE?

You can
We can
We should
We are the chosen generation
We are the leaders of tomorrow
That is our destiny
That is our goal
That is where wee ought to be

ARE WE THERE YET?

No!
But we should be

HOW DO WE GET THERE?

Repentance
Confession
Transformation
Regeneration
Commitment

THEN WHAT?

We love!
Love every man

WHAT ABOUT THE DRUNKARDS?

The leaders who corrupt our country?
The mad men and homeless on our streets?
The prostitutes who sell themselves for little or nothing?
Parents who abandoned us?
People who hate and despise us?
We should love them too.

HOW?

If they hunger, give them to eat
If they thirst give them to drink
If Jesus can do it
If he says we can do it

WE SHOULD DO IT!

Then do it

I SHOULD DO IT?

Many are dying in sin
Lacking the knowledge and power of the Word
Even in the church
Do you understand what needs to be done?

YES!

Then get up and do something about it.
