The signal was sent out a few days ago
from my Island of despair
As I patiently waited for the answer
of the things that needed repair

Now there was no solution to that problem
it was completly out of my hands
That was why I yelled, (S.O.S)
to the only one that always understands

Soon my little heart felt my God and Savior
from the shore of my house door
And I saw clear, that deliverance was near
and of this I knew for sure

The dark clouds overhead moved out the way
and up above I did see, the Son
After days and weeks had came and went
boy that test had not been fun

I told the sharks of troubles you're at your end
and did bid their sharp teeth good-by
When those problems thought to do me in
believe me, they truly did try

They all were closing in, for the big kill
when I saw the circling of their fins
And with their jaws a smacking wide and open
to make me their dinner, at, days end

But I can say my God had visited me
on my Island of despair
And saying to me that all was well
and that he was always there

Like pages in a book he wrote it out for me
engraving words into my heart
And as I waved good-by to my little Island
and thanking him for doing his part
