The strong winds blow and the lightning flashes,
The thunders roar, because the earth is but ashes.

How did this tragedy come about?
And who can see the end?
Only the eyes of our Lord Jesus Christ
And the ones that he calls friends.

Though wickedness upon the earth has increased,
Your love for me has never ceased!

I am not yet perfect in many of my ways.
But still I look forward to that glorious day.

When the reign of my Lord Jesus Christ is complete,
And all of our enemies are under His feet!
